Market Update: the Bridge to a Mexican Real Estate Mecca

San José del Cabo’s bridge towards La Playita and Puerto los Cabos has become a “landmark” when describing the sort of wonder world that is developing large sections of San José East. The bridge connects the artistic downtown area of San José del Cabo to the adventures of fishing, surf, off-road, and world-class golf that continue to become unveiled. Development has remained progressive on the eastern side of Los Cabos’ Municipality.

The first notable experience crossing the bridge is the view over the San José Estuary. This natural preserve is a sunlit, palm tree oasis, alive with all types of wildlife watching, kayaking and trails. The bridge’s journey also lends views up along the green golf knolls and hillside peaks where an iron cross sculpture created by artist Gabriel Macotela, designates the helm of the Puerto Los Cabos Marina. The cross is a symbol that offers a welcoming to new and returning boaters and majestically lights the marina in the evening.

Arriving to the other side, another monument of a fisherman stands tall establishing the entrance of Puerto Los Cabos. The monumental fisherman proudly raises his big catch of the day in representation of the village fishermen who live and work among the marina in the little town called La Playita. This authentic fishing village offers the freshest fish market at the entrance of the harbor. Pangas come in early to sell their catch mainly to local restaurants, private chefs and locals or visitors who can get there early. The experience here centers around marina views of gently rocking pangas and swaying yachts. Drive through this neighborhood’s dusty streets to experience the no-worries lifestyle and to create your story of the little fishing village. This neighborly resort carries on across the next 2000 acres with the development of Puerto Los Cabos’ luxury planned resort community of residences.

The Marina development is a boutique destination filled with the pleasures of nature and Mexican sophistication. Today a Leonora Carrington art walk decorates the marina sidewalk and acknowledges a selection of artists and their visuals pieces for admiring. It is a perfect place to take a stroll or bicycle ride and to capture your own photos of the developments happening in real estate. El Ganzo is the first boutique hotel resort accommodating visitors to the marina and golf resort. Other tourist activities and services are becoming available along the marina and already generate a day-to-night life for residents and tourists.

Further along the road, and beyond the residential security gates, is the popularly referenced Puerto Los Cabos Golf Course. Testimonials about this course and its game are sighted on many golf pages as “a quality golf course,” “an enjoyable experience,” and “playable throughout the year.” The Puerto Los Cabos golf club has public play rates and offer private club memberships to owners. Development of a second course will complete Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus’ composite collaboration, at which time homeowners will enjoy more private club amenities. Looking closely, this residential community of custom homes and lots has grown quickly and has substantially added to the overall growth of San José East. While home sites in this area are constructing, development parcels are being planned. Already established hotel developers, like Secrets and the JW Marriot, have invested in the Puerto Los Cabos Marina and Resort to be the first to meet the demands for hotel rooms, spas and other amenities welcomed in this seemingly fast developing neighborhood. If you do not know the East Cape; well, this is just where the opportunities begin.
