A Message From The Los Cabos Tourism Board
In this interview, Rodrigo Esponda of the Los Cabos Tourism Board addresses some of the concerns that have arisen in the wake of the US State department travel advisories that have mentioned Los Cabos and Cabo San Lucas.
Esponda mentions that Los Cabos has invested an additional $47M this year in order to ensure that Los Cabos remains a safe destination. He also makes mention of a 5-point action plan that includes a rapid response network, enhanced electronic surveillance, and a new Marine (Navy) base being set up in Los Cabos.
Esponda also points out that Los Cabos has a very loyal base of customers citing that seven out of ten visitors are returning guests and that despite the warnings, Los Cabos has seen a 20% growth in visitors so far in 2017.
